The Blue Zones Project Student Summit is going virtual this year, and we're inviting families too! Students and families will have an opportunity to participate via interactive online videos that promote well-being through yoga, mindfulness, gardening, cooking, physical activities, and much more.
(Español)
Consider promoting the Summit as a substitute for School Wellness Night through social media, your school’s website or newsletter, in-school announcements, on the Remind app, or as part of your lesson plan. The videos may be viewed and activities completed at school during PE, guidance, library, art, or music. They can also be done at home as part of remote PE, or as a family activity. Participating schools can win:
Smoothies, activities, and Blue Zones Project swag for a school well-being event
Bikes and helmets
Fresh fruit and vegetables
Book bin with age-appropriate books
Students can view Blue Zones Project Family Summit videos anytime between November 15 and 29, 2021. Videos will be available in both English and Spanish. Videos may be viewed and completed as part of a school activity during P.E., at home as part of remote P.E., or in an afterschool program. Students can also view them individually or with family at home. Students can view as many videos as desired. After viewing the videos, schools that are participating as a group will submit one Participating Schools Post Survey Form for the entire campus. Students who are participating individually at home should have their parent or guardian submit a Parent Post Survey Form on their behalf. Each student will submit only one form, regardless of how many videos they viewed. Students can view videos and participate at home even if they’ve participated at school. We encourage parent involvement! All students and individuals who submit participant forms by November 29 will be eligible to win prizes.
Schools should register here beginning October 18 to receive marketing support and other materials:
Participant Forms must be submitted by Nov. 29, 2021 to be eligible for prizes.
