Corry, Pennsylvania has been selected as a demonstration community for the Blue Zones Project. The Blue Zones Project is a community-driven health initiative that works to boost the overall health and well-being of a community. We’re proud and excited to launch the program in Corry, the first community in the northeastern part of the United States.
Blue Zones Project is impacting over three million lives in 48 communities across 11 states. Corry is the 47th community! In certified communities, significant progress has been made to improve the well-being of the community; creating a healthier, happier place to learn, live, work, play and worship.
The County of Erie in collaboration with three primary sponsors, Highmark Health, Corry Memorial Hospital an affiliate of LECOM Health and UPMC, together brought this initiative to Corry. These three local health systems are committed to improving the health and well-being of everyone in Corry and the surrounding region. By working together to become a Blue Zones Project Certified Community, we’re committed to making the healthy choices easier for all.
To ensure Corry’s success — we need your help. Blue Zones Project invites YOU to be an integral part of this exciting work. Together, we can help everyone in our community live longer, healthier!
